ICRC and ASL Supported by the BOM

  • This year, the Bol d’Or Mirabaud committed to supporting its two institutional partners: The Association for Protection of Lake Léman (ASL) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

These two partners were supported using the GivenGain online platforms, allowing the public to donate to these two associations, and for racers to become fundraisers. In all, more than CHF 5,000.- were collected. You can still support the ASL or the CICR on the GivenGain platform: or directly on their own sites.

At the Société Nautique de Genève during the regatta, the two institutions had stands providing information to the public throughout the weekend. Additionally, the CICR sold all the solar lamps they had in stock, that’s to say 200, in the spirit of title partner Mirabaud’s bicentennial. Lamps sold for a minimum price of CHF 22 (yes), allowed a lamp to be donated to a family caught in armed conflict for each one purchased. These are reliable, portable and affordable solar lamps made with sustainable production. They provide safety to families plunged into darkness by lighting in and around their home, as well as the ability work and to study.
