The Italian Version of the Bol d’Or Mirabaud In the Starting Blocks

  • The Centomiglia, organized by the Circolo Vela Gargnano at Garda Lake, is the biggest Italian lake regatta. The 66th edition takes place September 10 and 11, 2016 starting at Bogliaco (www.centomiglia.it).

Since its association with the Bol d’Or Mirabaud and the Kekszalag, the organizers have simplified the racecourse: competitors (monohulls and multihulls over 18 feet) all sail the same round trip across the lake, approximately 72 miles. If thermals are present, the wind is strong in the morning, calm midday, then strong again in the afternoon.

We invite you to discover this race online: http://www.boldormirabaud.ch/admin/BOM/ch/fr-ch/file.cfm/Centomiglia_2016.pdf?contentID=10545 and to visit during this superb event, including between 100 and 200 boats, typically including a few Swiss ones.

This year, a SNG team representing the Bol d’Or Mirabaud, led by Jean-Paul Peyrot will participate aboard a Dolphin 81. We hope to see other Bol d’Or Mirabaud regulars at the Gargnano start. Don’t hesitate to share your Italian adventure with us on our Facebook page!
