A beautiful race to prepare the 75th edition in 2013!

  • The largest regatta in the world to be run on a lake, was in line with its  reputation: following a very tactical race,  Realstone Sailing,  skipped by a young team from Regatta Training Centre of the City of Geneva (CER) wins  the 74th  edition of the Bol d’Or Mirabaud  in front of an array of confirmed sailors. The team skipped by Jérôme Clerc wins after a race of  10 hours and  52 minutes, slightly ahead of  de Rham Sotheby’s and Zen Too. Realstone Sailing  took the lead soon after the start and then led the race almost until the end.  In the monohull category the Hungarian
team  Libera Raffica wins after more than 15 hours of sailing. This year’s edition gathered about 3’000 participants and close to 500 boats, of which 80 boats from abroad, including from Sweden, Germany, France, Hungary and Italy.
« This year’s sailing conditions were ideal, with  favourable winds and a bright sunshine. It constituted a fantastic preparation for the upcoming 75th
edition of this legendary regatta, which took place the first time in 1939,  “  said Michel  Glaus,  President of Organizing Committee of the  Bol d’Or Mirabaud.  « While being a young team, and despite fierce competition, the winners demonstrated a high degree  of maturity and professionalism, proving the excellence of the  regatta  training centre of the City of Geneva. We can look forward to next year’s 75th historic edition with confidence.»
Organised by the Sailing Circle of the Société Nautique de Genève, the Bol d’Or Mirabaud has undergone several important improvements of its internet tracking system, and has been equipped with a completely new multimedia portal. Whether on land, on water or on the air, the Bol d’Or Mirabaud is entering a new  dimension, via the Bol d’Or Mirabaud website (, or directly at
