health protection plan

Regulations in effect concerning entering Switzerland from abroad are accessible on the Federal Office of Public Health website. We recommend that you check it regularly.

The 2021 health protection plan is available here.

Access to the event site (Société Nautiquede Genève -Port-Noir) is strictly reserved for Bol d'Or Mirabaud participants and SNG members. It is closed to the public.

Locker rooms and showers will be closed and not accessible. Crew will change clothes outdoors, on their boats or on the docks just in front of their boats.

Race material will be distributed following a precise schedule spanning 3 full days, in staggered time slots programmed in advance. There will be outdoor waiting areas and the grounds will be marked for appropriate distancing, among other special precautions. An online link will be made available to select and register for a time slot.
Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 14:00 to 21:00
Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 14:00 to 21:00
Friday June 11, 2021 from 8:00 am to 18:00

Before and after the race, crews will stay together as groups under the supervision of their skippers, keeping proper distance from other groups. Movement will be limited to the strict minimum: club entrance – dock – boat – dock – club exit.

The organizing committee will prohibit rafting and will only allow visiting boats to dock at individual visitor berths, according to availability.

The club restaurant, accessible only to members, remains subject to the rules in effect as of May 1, 2021 (only the terrace is open and complies with the requirements of ACE Article 12C and Appendix 5). Competitors are prohibited access to the restaurant terrace, which will be clearly marked off to control traffic flow.

Access to the docks will be controlled and limited. Each dock (13 in total) in the port will be considered a controlled sector so that contact between groups will be reduced to a strict minimum. Each dock is further divided into three subsectors with Saturday morning access regulated as follows:

Far end of dock: 6:45 – 7:30
Middle of dock: 7:30 – 8:15
Near end of dock: 8:15 - 9:00

Registration mandatoryto collect race material and confirm participation

Due to the current public health situation, registration confirmation and race material pickup for the BOM21 will be done at predetermined time slots. Each competitor is responsible for selecting a time slot. Only one person per boat will be allowed onsite at the Société Nautique de Genève (SNG).
Competitors are required to respect ground markings and rules in effect on the whole SNG site. A competitor who arrives outside the time slot will be reallocated to a later time slot if there is still space available. If there is no space left, the registration will be cancelled.
When registering on Manage2Sail, it is imperative to indicate the complete crew list. A competitor who does not respect this obligation may have his registration refused at the time of registration confirmation.
Different time slots will be offered from Wednesday June 9 to Friday June 11, accessible at this link.
We count on you to follow the rules and make this BOM a success! Thank you for your collaboration.

Docking should be available at the SNG and used according to directives of the OA and dockmaster. Due to public health protection measures in effect, docking spots will be limited in number and access.

Only docking requests received via email before May 30, 2021 will be considered and granted in order of receipt per the following criteria:

- Participants requesting a docking spot must have previously completed their regatta registration;
- Request must specify the boat’s LOA and home port;
- Requests concerning boats with home ports away from Lake Geneva (abroad or other Swiss lakes) and/or beyond the line connecting Morges and Thonon (including those two ports) will be given the highest priority;
- The SNG will only allow docking for boats having received written confirmation of being granted a visitor spot in the club port.
- The Club won’t be able to dock boats for the Geneva-Rolle-Geneva race. Docking requests for that race will be handled on a case by case basis depending on available spots.
The crane located in the new port near the sports building is available for a fee of CHF 50.- covering launch and haul-out for normally sized boats not exceeding 32 tons or a draft of 3 meters.

During the BOM, the crane is reserved for BOM competitors arriving and departing; reservations are not accepted (first in, first in first out). Crane operations are handled by SNG dockmasters.

The Genève-Plage underground parking is open to the public and located under the SNG port with accessible a few meters from the SNG entrance. Special rate for the Bol d’Or Mirabaud weekend (CHF 12.- from Friday 6 am to Sunday midnight) with tickets on sale when registering on line for the race or at the SNG during material race pick-up.

trailer PARKING

Trailers can be parked alongside the waterfront road in the direction of Vésenaz-Thonon (the side furthest from the lake) during the whole Bol d’Or Mirabaud. Trailers should be parked to the right side of the road against the wall, without blocking the bicycle lane.
